Ziggy is a very energetic and passionate individual who uses a loop pedal to create a unique sound, incorporating virtuosic guitar solos, fingerpicking, percussive sounds and vocals. Ziggy's contemporary sound is a mix of styles with a guitar influence from Rodrigo y Gabriela and Tommy Emmanuel. As a busker by trade, Ziggy is no stranger to an audience and certainly knows how to captivate one.
Born on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia, Ziggy has made a name for himself as a solo musician. In 2015, Ziggy released his first solo EP It's About Time, and won a number of Sydney talent competitions including The Hills Got Talent (NSW) and Busking by the Beach (NSW).
In 2016 he won Busking by the Burbs competition (NSW), got endorsed by Cole Clark Guitars, and released his first solo album Timeless, where he collaborated with Australian singer Ella Freestone on the tracks Du und Ich and Here We Are. In the lead up to his album release Ziggy based himself in Germany and underwent his Busker By Trade Tour performing in the UK, Netherlands, Italy and Germany.
In 2017, Ziggy returned to Europe on his These Brezn Are Making Me Thirsty Tour, playing festivals in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Italy. He also received 3rd place in Buskers by the Creek competition (QLD).
In 2018, Ziggy went on his Professionally Unemployed Tour performing in Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, England and Scotland. He performed at festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe UK and Tollwood Sommerfestival DE. Ziggy returned to home soil and recorded his first live album at Woodford Folk Festival, QLD Australia.
In 2019, Ziggy toured Europe and UK on his Loose Change Tour with his newly released album Live This Time, performing at eight festivals and several shows in Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and UK.
In 2022, Ziggy supported Icehouse on their Great Southern Land Tour and Tijuana Cartel on their Acid Pony Tour. He returned to Europe on his Address Unknown Tour performing in UK, Croatia, Serbia and Germany. Ziggy's 2nd live album Live at La La La's was released.
